Coach Reggie Lee graduated from Columbus East High School in 1970 and Central State University in 1975 with a B.S. in Business Education. He is currently continuing academic development through graduate studies at The Ohio State University. His varied coaching experience began at Walnut Ridge High School in 1976 as an assistant coach for the boy’s track and field team. In 1978 Reggie took his talents across town to Brookhaven High School, undertaking a wide array of coaching positions which include: Assistant Football Coach, Assistant Track and Field Coach, Head Cross Country Coach, Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, and finally Girls Head Basketball Coach. As the head coach of the Lady Bearcats, Coach Lee led Brookhaven into prominence and set a new standard for girls’ basketball in the Columbus City League and Central Ohio. In coaching the Bearcats, Reggie Lee compiled a 515-159 record which includes: 10 City Championships, 7 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships, 2 Final Four Appearances, and a State Championship in 1996. He has coached numerous players who have earned scholarships and played in college, 3 State of Ohio Players of the Year, 2 McDonald’s All-Americans, a Miss Basketball for the State of Ohio, a Parade National Player of the Year, and a 2nd Round WNBA draftee.
